How To Lightened Too Dark Hair Color?

I have dark color treated hair, how can I naturally lighten it without going too light?

My hair is originally a medium brown, but I dyed it this winter to a much darker shade. Now I want to lighten it, but I don’t want to use any bleach or anything harsh. I just want my hair a lighter shade of brown, not blonde. What are some natural things I can use to do this?

I wanted to dye my hair a shade or two darker, from a dark ash blonde to a light ash brown. It came out VERY dark and not flattering at all. I know it will fade naturally, but I have a portrait shoot tomorrow and it needs to be lightened! I’ve heard using dish detergent will lighten it, but will it lighten it if I only do it once? Also, won’t this DESTROY my hair?

Also, my natural hair colour is light brown.
About a month ago I dyed my hair with semi permanent hair dye. It made my hair near black, but at the time I liked it. So I used colour saving shampoo and conditioner. Now I don’t like it anymore and have been using normal and anti dandruff shampoo and conditioner but the colour isn’t fading.

Can i lighten it with permanent hair dye? Or can you suggest a way I could lighten it?

I recently dyed my hair to soft black. I have naturally almost black hair, and normally when I dye my hair, it lightens with a few washes. Hence going black instead of brown. It has lightened up a little, as I use Head and Shoulders shampoo. I waited about three weeks and tried to dye it dark brown. It did nothing. Its been two weeks since I dyed it last. How can I get it to lighten up? Can I use blonde dye on my hair? What about lemon juice? I don’t really care if it turns orange-y, I can dye over that.
